NOW... much smarter than NWO (Last Update: 13th December 2013)

"The definition of insanity
is doing the same thing over and over again
and expecting different results."
Albert Einstein
It's been an interesting last few months. Spying. The death of Mandela. The Trade Partnerships that are being formed. Drone strikes. Syria. And the many many protests that have gone on around the world. Currently the Ukraine are out in the streets.

Who holds the government of your country to account?

It's a huge question. The answer is much more complex than we could ever imagine. But what makes hundreds of thousands of "local" people head out on to the streets to show a vote of no confidence? No confidence in what? In how they're being governed? We all have our reasons for voting in those who put themselves forwards as candidates to govern in our best interest. But that's a bit of a romantic view really innit. A Noble thing to aspire to, but a reality that we are very far from sadly.

And who would you replace the government with? Those who are leading the protest? The opposition party of whatever flavour? The Armed Forces? An Exile? Where do you start? We're heading in the one direction and it's not a pretty thought where we're going to end up. Personally I'm hoping for an evolution in thinking. I've been through it myself and see that many others have too. The amount of times I hear, yeah it was about 5 years ago when I started to think about it etc... Anyway, who do you trust to become your new government?

Well, what's wrong with leaving governments the way they are? I realise how insane that sounds. In a NOW economy, essentially a strategy for moving towards a Resource Based Economy (thank you Mr Fresco), you would virtualise the isolated financial system from the physical economy. Same economy, no financial constraints, jobs/education/healthcare for everyone, lots of progress etc... IF the politicians that are currently in power/opposition/other parties etc... would be happy to switch to a NOW policy, why not leave them where they are. The office behind them would be an interesting place to work. Strange concept maybe, but evolution not revolution right?

So, you could end up in a situation where you change absolutely nothing other than how transactions are handled and goods and services are charged and paid. Hey, it's just an idea. Perhaps some politicians will leave and a cross-party government will be born, bringing together strong financial, social and environmental knowledge and all working to tidy up the mess that we currently have. Of course there's a wee hint of sarcasm in that last sentence... but ideas and dreams are free. It is well within the ability of mankind to cooperate. It's a natural state. Cooperate or die. etc... pick any one you like, but it's the truth. If the people want to cooperate, then who can they talk to about changing the politics of politics? It'd probably be quashed as a repressive regime anyway and people thrown in jail for not having the appropriate license.

How else are you supposed to protest? You can't go knocking on the door of your "leader" and ask that they reconsider how they're going about governing. They were elected. Wait for the ballot. Go away. It's good to see, in ways, that less people are voting in NZ. Probably similar around the world. Not that it will lead to riots or protests, but that it sends a message of no confidence. People who don't vote don't vote because they're lazy or indifferent or extremists or some other term other than, concerned, disenfranchised, fundamentally against policy etc... With any luck, one of these protests will carry a NOW economy to the government and that government will accept it. Dream's again.

What a mess eh. It'll be interesting to see which direction we end up taking. The road to revolution, or the road to evolution. I dream of the latter.

Have a great festive season wherever you are.

Kia Kaha to all of you.

A "Begging" Letter.

Everything takes money. Raising awareness is no different. To that end, if you have excess funds and you would like to invest in a project with the potential to change the world, then come and say hi.

The above may sound like madness or the ramblings of a person suffering from delusions of grandeur, but I assure you that I am quite serious. Someone has to be about the future. I have a plan. It may not be a good plan, but that is for you to decide. Come to my house, drink wine and let me offer you a vision and a plan of how we get there. You will be an integral part of NOW helping to shape our future. If nothing else, you will have had a wasted journey and I will have less wine.

Change happening by itself is too slow. It needs a helping hand.

We do not need to be stuck with Einstein's theory of insanity! There is a Silver Bullet! and it is EASY to change our society quickly and with next to no consequences, in fact the positives by far outweigh the negatives!

A wee challenge for you. Can you think of a single reason why our financial system is better than a NOW approach for humanity. Be honest and open minded, but I think you'll find out that there isn't. NOW (or variations of) is/are required NOW more than ever. We live in a finite world, why continue to waste it?

"There is no Silver Bullet". I've heard that from professionals, experts, leaders etc... NOW they're either really really wrong or they're lying through their teeth. Again, take a look around you and ask if this is the best we can do?

I disagree with those professionals, experts and leaders who say that there is no silver Bullet and I'll make 3 very bold statements that would have them laughing in the aisles:
  • There is a Silver Bullet!
  • It is EASY to solve many of the major issues that the world faces!
  • NOW offers positives that our current societal and economic models can't even come close to offering!

With the above 3 very bold statements in mind, I give you NOW
